Water Penetrating Radar

The UAWOS water penetrating radar (WPR) payload based on the Zond Areo system from Radar Systems. Center frequency can be adjusted flexibly between 100 and 300 MHz. The payload can be used to survey river bathymetry for deeper rivers (depth exceeding 1 m) with low water electric conductivity (EC less than ca. 250 Micro-Siemens per centimeter). WPR can be used in rivers with submerged vegetation. Unlike echosounders, WPR is not sensitive to the presence of submerged vegetation.
